Mrs. Lou Dean Bowen Wooten, age 68 of Brunswick, Ga. passed away Sunday, December 13, 2015 at her home in Brunswick, Ga. after an extended illness. A native of Atkinson County, Mrs. Wooten was born March 21, l947, daughter of Leon and Louell Giddens Bowen. She had made her home in Brunswick for the past eleven years and was a homemaker. She was a member of Everette City Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Billy Ray Bowen and Bobby Gene Bowen. Survivors include: Husband: James Wooten of Brunswick, Ga. 3 Sons: Jerome Stone of Brunswick, Ga. Michael Jeffery Stone of Jesup,Ga. Bobby Stone of Nichols, Ga 2 Daughters: Yolanda Harrison and husband Steve of Brunswick, Ga. Lowanda Musgrove and husband Buddy of Brunswick, Ga. Sister: Christine Bowen Paulk of Willacoochee, Ga. 10 Grandchildren and several Great Grandchildren, Nieces, Nephews and other relatives also survive. Funeral services for Mrs. Wooten were held Wednesday, December 16, 2015 at 11:00 A.M. at Sunnyside Freewill Baptist Church with Rev. Sim Youngblood officiating. Special musical selections included, “When I Get Where I’m Going”, “Knowing What I Know About Heaven”, “Go Rest High On That Mountain”, and “Freebird” were presented by cd. The interment followed in Sunnyside Cemetery Serving as active pallbearers were: Shon Coleman, Shane Coleman, David Musgrove, Damian Stone, Steven Harrison and David McDermitt. Relihan Funeral Home in Pearson, Ga. was in charge of the arrangements.
