Tony C. White

June 24, 1959 — March 19, 2016

Mr. Tony C. White, age 56 of Axson, Ga. passed away Saturday, March 19, 2016 at Coffee Regional Medical Center in Douglas, Ga. after a sudden illness.   Born June 24, l959 in Coffee County, Mr. White was the son of James and Lillie Hulett White. He was a lifelong resident of Axson, Ga. and had worked as a jailer for the Atkinson County Sheriff’s Dept. since 2012.  He loved to fish and hunt and was an avid fan of dirt track racing.  He was preceded in death by his father, James White and a brother, Jimmy White.   Survivors include: Mother: Lillie White of Axson, Ga.   2 Sons: Tony Curtis White and wife Amanda of Nahunta, Ga.                Fred Chase White of Pearson, Ga.   2 Brothers: Rodney White and wife Diane of Axson, Ga.                    Wayne White and wife Susan of Axson, Ga. 5 Grandchildren: Jaylynn White, Gage White, Owen James White, Dalton Williams, and Abby Williams.   Several Nieces, Nephews, and other relatives also survive.    Graveside funeral services for Mr. White were held Tuesday, March 22, 2016 at 2:00 P.M. at Axson Cemetery with Bishop Steve Sirmans officiating. Special musical selections included “Beulah Land” and “How Beautiful Heaven Must Be” presented by cd. The interment followed in the Axson Cemetery.   Serving as active pallbearers were: Garrett White, Kevin White, Dustin White, Hunter White, Mark Bennett, Caleb White, Deputy Buddy Taft and Deputy Brandon Jewell. Honorary pallbearers were the Atkinson County Sheriff’s Department.   Relihan Funeral Home of Pearson, Ga. was in charge of the arrangements.
