Roy Laverne McMillan

Mr. Roy McMillan, age 66 of Alapaha, Ga. passed away Thursday, September 01, 2016 at his home in Alapaha, Ga.   Born June 20, l950 in Ben Hill County, Mr. McMillan was the son of J. Q. McMillan and the late Ouida Purvis McMillan.  He had made his home in the Willacoochee and Alapaha area for most of his life.  He worked as a supervisor in shipping and receiving for L & M Bag Supply before poor health forced him to retire.  In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Gerald and Joe McMillan.   Survivors include: Father:  J.Q. McMillan of Willacoochee, Ga.   Son:  Sohn L. McMillan and wife Kimberly of Alapaha, Ga.   Brother:  Jessie McMillan and wife Becky of Willacoochee, Ga.   Sister:  Belinda Gibbs and husband Ira of Brookfield, Ga.   Several nieces, nephews, and other relatives also survive. Graveside services for Mr. McMillan were held Sunday, September 04, 2016 at 2:00 P.M. at Paulk Cemetery near Lax, Ga. with Rev. Larry Stone officiating. The internment followed in Paulk Cemetery. Relihan Funeral Home in Pearson, Ga. was in charge of the arrangements.
