    Mr. Ealie F. Batten, age 72 of Douglas, Ga. passed away Saturday, November 19, 2016 at his home in Douglas, Ga. following an illness of several months. A native of Coffee County, Mr. Batten was born August 20, l944 son of Otis Batten and Duzie Woods Batten Davis. He had made his home in Pearson for most of his life. He worked in the poultry industry for many years, but was currently working as a truck driver before poor health forced his retirement. He loved the outdoors and especially liked to fish. He was a born again Christian attending both the Pearson Church of God of Prophecy and Faith Mission Assembly of God Church in Green Acres. He was preceded in death by his father Otis Batten, mother and stepfather Duzie and Allen Davis,Sr., 2 brothers, M. D. Batten and Edward Batten, half- brother Allen Davis, Jr., half- sister Mary Nell Davis, step- sisters Willene Arnold and Betty Caroline Davis and step- brothers John Davis and W. A. Davis. Survivors include: Wife: Reba Burch Batten of Douglas, Ga.   2 Sons: Frankie Batten and wife Ansley of Douglas, Ga.              Kevin Batten and wife Melissa of Wray, Ga.   2 Daughters: Cynthia Beasley and husband Van of Douglas, Ga.                      Cheryl Moore and husband Ronnie of Douglas, Ga.   Sister: Geraldine Lee of Brunswick, Ga.   3 Brothers: Jimmy Davis of Douglas, Ga.                    Benny Davis of Waycross, Ga.                    Orville Davis   2 Step-Sisters: Collen Stone of Homerville, Ga.                            Aileen Bennett of Waycross, Ga. 12 Grandchildren, 11 Great Grandchildren, 1 Step-Grandson, and several nieces, nephews, and other relatives also survive. Funeral Services for Mr. Batten were held Tuesday, November 22, 2016 at 2:00 P.M. at Relihan Funeral Home in Pearson, Ga. with Rev. Charles Brown, Rev. Hardy Crosby, and Rev. Elaine Keene officiating. Special musical selections were “Heaven Got Another Angel”, “In The Time You Gave Me” and “Leave It There” presented by cd. The interment followed in Sunnyside Cemetery. Serving as active pallbearers were: Mark Batten, Tracy Batten, Darrell Davis, James Burch, Brandon Brigmond and Drake Lomax. Honorary pallbearers were Ben Day and Russell Brigmond. Relihan Funeral Home of Pearson, Ga. was in charge of the arrangements.
