Mr. Gardie Lee, age 52 of Pearson, Ga. passed away Thursday, December 01, 2016 at his home in Pearson, Ga. surrounded by his loving family following a courageous battle with ALS. A native of Coffee County, Mr. Lee was born August 31, l964 to Delmas Henry and Elmarie Lott Lee. He had made his home in Pearson for most of his life and was a l982 Graduate of Atkinson County High School. He was Assistant Plant Manager at Live Oak Homes for 8 years before poor health forced him to retire. He enjoyed coaching softball for his boys, watching the Georgia Bulldogs play and reading. He had been a member of the Church of God for 15 years. He was preceded in death by his father Delmas Henry Lee. Survivors include: Mother and Stepfather: Elmarie Lott Powell and husband Johnny of Pearson, Ga.   Wife: Fonda Hayes Lee of Pearson, Ga.   Son: Dustin Lee of Pearson, Ga.   Daughter: Casey A. Bazemore of Waycross, Ga.   Brother: Derryl Lee and wife Cathy of Pearson, Ga.   Sister: Joan Lee of Pearson, Ga.   Grandson: Finn Lee of Orlando, Fl.   Several nieces, nephews, and other relatives also survive. Funeral Services for Mr. Lee were held Saturday, December 03, 2016 at 2:00 P.M. at Remnant Church of God in Waycross, Ga. with Bishop Alton Carter, Bishop George Moxley, and Rev. Caleb Lancaster officiating. Special music included “Truly” by cd, “Revelation Song” by Stacie Sheys accompanying by Caleb Lancaster on the Keyboards and “Home” by Josh Lancaster accompanied by tape. Soft music for the Prelude and the Postlude was by cd. Serving as active pallbearers were Ricky Moore, Dennis Burton, Shane Boyd, Brian Chapman, Dusty Lewis, and Mario Rainge. Serving as Honorary Pallbearers were Roger Stone, Micky Mizell, Leonard Jordan, William Fletcher, Keith Johnson, Henry White, Kevin Bennett, Nathan Carter, Caleb Carter, Luke Carter, Steve Batten, Frank Sanchez, and Ronnie Patton. Relihan Funeral Home of Pearson, Ga. was in charge of the arrangements.
