Jeannie Reed Summerlin

Mrs. Jeannie Reed Summerlin, age 77 of Pearson, Ga. passed away Sunday, January 07, 2018 at Satilla Hospice House in Waycross, Ga. following an extended illness.   Born November 25, 1940 in Baton Rouge, LA. Jeannie was the daughter of the late Dr. J.F. and Olivia Reed. She was a graduate of Emory University. It was there she met the love of her life, Rob. Jeannie resided in Pearson, Ga. for 55 years. She had a life long banking career of 48 years with the Citizens Exchange Bank of Pearson, GA.             Jeannie is survived by her husband of 57 years, Robert A. Summerlin, daughter, Meg “M” Summerlin, son-in-law, Warren Tyre, daughter-in-law, Karen Summerlin, grandchildren, Collin Summerlin and Olivia Summerlin, sister, Martha Moore, sister-in-law, Latona Summerlin, and several other nieces, nephews, and others relatives also survive. She is preceded in death by her beloved son, Scott Summerlin.   A memorial gathering will be held at a later date.   Relihan Funeral Home in Pearson, Ga. is in charge of the arrangements.
