Willis "Pewee" Vining

Mr. Willis “Pewee” Vining, age 73 of Pearson, Ga. passed away Sunday, February 11, 2018 at Pruitt Health Nursing Home in Ocilla, Ga. following an extended illness.   Born November 30, l944, Mr. Vining was the son of Earl and Eva Wilkerson Vining. He had made his home in Atkinson County all of his life and worked as a farm laborer. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by 3 brothers, Orville, Wayne and Thomas Vining and a sister, Edna Vining.   Survivors include:   1 Sister: Ludell Arnold and husband Larry of Pearson, Ga.   1 Brother: Charlie Vining and wife Julia of Pearson, Ga.   Several Nieces, Nephews and other relatives also survive.   Graveside funeral services for Mr. Vining were held at 2 P. M. Tuesday, February 13, 2018 at Mt. Pleasant Church Cemetery with Rev. Clyde Purvis officiating. Special music included “Go Rest on that Mountain” presented by cd and “Amazing Grace” rendered by all attending the service. The interment followed in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery.   Serving as active pallbearers were: Charlie Vining, Jr., Jason Vining, Mark Vining, Scott Vining, Jacob Vining, and Charlie Vining III.   Relihan Funeral Home of Pearson, Ga. was in charge of the arrangements.
