Wanda Sue Arnold Martinez

Mrs. Wanda Sue Arnold Martinez, age 62 of Pearson, Ga. passed away Saturday, March 17, 2018 at Pruitt Healthcare in Ocilla, Ga. following an extended illness.   A native of Atkinson County, Mrs. Martinez was born December 18, 1955, daughter of Olen, Sr. and Marie Dukes Arnold. She had previously worked at Cady Bag and kept children in her home. For the last several years, poor health had confined her to her home. She attended Covenant Outreach Ministries. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by 3 brothers, Bobby, Willie and Olen Arnold, Jr. and 2 sisters, Linda McDonald and Mary Catherine Arnold.   Survivors include: 2 Brothers: Larry Arnold and wife Ludell of Pearson, Ga.                    Harry Arnold and wife Sheila of Nashville, Ga.   2 Sisters: Annie Mae Stone of Pearson, Ga.                Margaret Spivey and husband Henry of Pearson, Ga.   Special Friend: Felix Badillo of Pearson, Ga.   Special Niece: Marisol Vargas of Pearson, Ga.   Several Nieces, Nephews and other relatives also survive.   Funeral services for Mrs. Martinez were held at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, March 21, 2018 at Relihan Funeral Home with Rev. Robert Spivey officiating. Special musical selections “Amazing Grace”, “Go Rest High on That Mountain”, and “Please Forgive Me” were rendered by cd. The interment followed in the Stokesville Cemetery.   Serving as active pallbearers were: Timothy Gurley, Johnny Haskins, Kenneth Haskins, Jeremy Stone, Dalton Tannery, Greg Arnold, John Olen Arnold and Kevin Arnold. Honorary pallbearers were: Irby Barlow and Blake Vining.   Relihan Funeral Home of Pearson, Ga. was in charge of the arrangements.
