Frankie Mae Fussell

November 20, 1922 — May 17, 2018

  Mrs. Frankie Mae Fussell, age 95 of Brunswick, Ga. formerly of Axson, Ga., passed away Wednesday, May 17, 2018 at Senior Care Center in Brunswick, Ga. following an extended illness.   A native of Atkinson County, Mrs. Fussell was born November 20, l922, daughter of Calvin and Ada Cason Bowen. Mrs. Fussell had made her home in Axson along with her late husband L. E. Fussell before moving to Brunswick in 2005 to be near their daughter.   She worked for many years as an insurance agent with United Family Life. Before moving to Brunswick, she was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Pearson Ward where she held many callings in the church. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, L. E. Fussell. Survivors include: 2 Daughters:  Sandra Jones and husband John of Brunswick, Ga.                        Faye Farlow of Winder, Ga. 6 Grandchildren:  Tal Farlow and wife Robin, Cal Farlow, Nicole Mullis and husband Lee, Loran Kip Farlow and Wife April, Sandra Anita Pope and husband Jeff, and John Alton Jones II and wife Erin. 9 Great-Grandchildren:  Lee Caitlin Farlow, Randee Zane Farlow, Lauren Michele Farlow, Ann Marie Farlow, Lydia Farlow, Loran Coley Pope, J. D. Pope, John Alton Jones III, and Bowen Elle Jones.   Several nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive. Funeral Services for Mrs. Fussell were held Saturday, May 19, 2018, at 2:00 P.M. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Pearson Ward with Bishop Clee Sirmans, Bishop Lamar Park and Bishop Dan Vickers officiating. Special memories about their mother were given by Mrs. Fussell’s daughters, Faye Farlow and Sandra Jones. Special music “Be Still My Soul” and “Love One Another” were rendered by soloist Angie Odum with Tonya Cecil accompanying at the piano. “Abide With Me” was presented as a congregational hymn with Tonya Cecil at the piano. Soft music for the Prelude and the Postlude was played by Tonya Cecil, pianist. The interment followed in Little Utah Cemetery in Axson, Ga. with the dedication of the grave given by Bishop Lamar Park.   Serving as active pallbearers were: Cal Farlow, Loran Kip Farlow, Jeff Pope, Ray Fussell, Lee Mullis, Robert Fussell and Tal Farlow.   Relihan Funeral Home of Pearson, Ga. was in charge of the arrangemets.
